In the end it's the users that deals everyday with limitations/problems/bugs of the softs the devs make. Maybe when you evaluate an idea you should try to think more as a user. The feature I suggested should be really easy to implement for someone like you that can make something like kwin and has nothing to do with the adoption rate of Wayland.
