Okay, then I deduce that you're probably using a laptop, or a system with an
integrated Intel graphics processor in any case. Your driver is broken and
cannot handle Krita's demands. Updating a driver is pretty difficult, more
difficult than it should be, and manufacturers are really bad at providing
updates.
You can go to the Settings menu, select Configure Krita, click on the Display
icon and then disable the OpenGL checkbox. That should fix the canvas display
issue, at the expense of some performance and missing features.
