The scale in effect saves the day.
I can reproduce it here w/o. The runner actually does set the slide hint, but
the animation runs hyperfast (37ms and the slidelength is 0 ... ie. it's
pointless to begin with)
Long story short: the deleted has no expandedGeometry, ie. it must have lost
the shadow in the scene window, no idea why, yet.
