Same problem here with identical backtrace (the one in Thread 1) on Kubuntu
15.10. The machine is a Lenovo ThinkPad T440s.
To reproduce (not reliably):
- Connect second monitor (T440s has VGA and mini DP, problem occurs with both)
- Go to system settings → Display and monitor
- Disable the laptop display, click 'apply'
