It still happens in fresh KDevelop 5 (kdevelop and kdevplatform cloned at 30.11.2015) This time I reproduced this bug on Kubuntu 15.10 using simple scenario described in "Comment 1". KDevelop still crashed on the same line (184). Check: Thread 1 (Thread 0x7fffdd3c4800 (LWP 6735)): I attached gdb full log. The work around is copying variable name and paste it into Variable view.
