Thanks for your report. There is a currently known issue in FFmpeg's recent git
that causes seeking issue and incorrect display with MXF files. The problem has
been reported on FFmpeg's bugtracker:

This issue should hopefully be solved soon.
In the meantime, Dan Dennedy from MLT recommands using FFmpeg <= 2.7 because of
some recent API changes that have not been fully tested agains MLT.
