Hello Ganesh!
Modify your code as follows:
<%@ page language="Java" %>
<%@ page import="java.util.Date" %>
<html>
<head>
<title>First Page</title>
</head>
<body>
<H3>Today is:
<%= new java.util.Date() %>
</H3>
</body>
</html>
You get the following output both in Netscape and IE:
Today is: Tue Sep 26 17:16:51 GMT+05:30 2000
Cheers,
