I had this problem this morning. I fixed it then (its a simple one line patch), but I’ve since made a bug report with a patch (see https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/19832 <https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/19832> ).
Anyway, if you apply the patch (or make a pull after the patch is applied), everything should work.
