Technologies used in this role are primarily Cold Fusion, Java, C++, and SQL. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - The Senior Software Engineer receives their assignments from the Development Manager. - Gain a thorough understanding of Digital Insight's (1) SDLC process, (2) development, QA, and production environments, and (3) Small Business Product platforms. - Diagnose, resolve and test software defects. - Design, code, document, unit test, integration test feature enhancements. - Technical leadership of other Engineering personnel. - Work with other Engineering personnel to ensure consistency among Digital Insight products. QUALIFICATIONS: - The Software Engineer must have a Computer Science (or Engineering) degree - 4+ years of System Development experience, Financial Services or High Volume Transaction Systems. - Knowledge of Cold Fusion, JSP, JSF, Struts, relational database (Oracle or SQL Server), Blue Dragon, MVC design patterns (Fusebox), Windows, UNIX, web-based applications, system development, scripting languages (PERL), Application Servers (WebSphere, JBoss). - Knowledge of J2EE (EJB), CORBA and C++; Ruby/RoR a plus. - The Software Engineer must communicate clearly, often through spoken &/or written means.
