We are currently seeking a Lead Web Developer for our client company located in the Atlanta area. This company promotes a very personable, friendly working environment, and values every team member. Technical ability is equally important as being a team player. The lead web developer will spend 85% of his/her time actively coding applications and the other 15% documenting, problem-solving and mentoring other developers. The person in this role should have a deeper technical knowledge of our boomsocket CMS platform than anyone else on the team. The lead developer works closely with the Director of Application Development to insure that the highest possible level of quality is met on all technical deliverables. This role requires someone who is able to balance his/her passion for keeping up with the latest developments in web technologies with a strong desire to make prudent and responsible development decisions that will advance the long term goals of the company. Responsibilities * Take the lead on most complex development tasks in any client project * Insure that the highest possible level of quality is maintained on all deliverables developed by the team * Meticulously comment code and document functionality, enforcing best practices with the rest of the developers * Openly communicate all issues, concerns and/or suggestions relating to development strategies, implementation, etc. to the Director of Application Development * Maintain the versioning and builds of boomsocket * Serve as an advocate and evangelist for boomsocket * Stay abreast of all relevant trends, changes and advancements directly relating to the web-based technologies that we use every day. * Mentor and train junior developers Required Skills * 5+ years of programming experience in ColdFusion and possibly additional experience with PHP, .NET or another web scripting language * 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server and possibly other systems Like MySQL, Oracle, etc. * Mastery of HTML and fundamental CSS skills * Fluent in Javascript * Ability manage time efficiently and juggle a number of varying tasks without losing focus or dedication * Superior organizational and analytical skills * Superior problem-solving and debugging abilities * Patient, professional and kind attitude in relating to co-workers
