This just came across the San Diego jobs list and I thought I'd
forward it to ACFUG since it's in the region. I know Jim from my time
living in San Diego - he's a CF developer (not a recruiter), a good
guy and will shoot straight with you about this gig. -Cameron

Subject: Need ColdFusion Developers in Greensboro, NC
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Recently I mentioned that we here at Market America were seeking more
ColdFusion Developers. After speaking with the boss, he wants me to
get the resumes of all interested parties. Over the next year we will
hire 30-50 more CFers. We will hire several immeadiately after
Christmas maybe even before.

Market America sells nearly $500,000,000 per year of product online.
We are currently in 5 nations (USA and Canada -
(www.marketamerica.com) , Australia - (www.marketaustralia.com.au),
Taiwan - (www.markettaiwan.com.tw), and Hong Kong
-(www.markethongkong.com.hk).

The company expects to be going over a billion per year in sales
within 3 years. We will be expanding to approximately one new country
per year for many years into the future.

Our front end is ColdFusion. We have a homegrown architecture which is
the best I have ever worked with. It is a hybrid with the best from
Mach-ll, Model-Glue, and Jakarta Struts. You will work with an XML
Controller, most coding will be done in functions contained in CFCs,
and you will also create or modify views in HTML with minimal CF as
needed to loop through data sets, etc.

We atually have 150,000 distributor Web sites in 5 nations and 3
languages each nation all being fed by a single code base. In addition
we also have several other types of sites and a corresponding
administration site to match with each and every site. Lots and lots
of work now and in the long term future!

The benefits here are pretty standard stuff, not extraordinary but
adequate. The company gives relocation and also gives you 60 days of
free lodging at an Extended Stay motel upon arrival. The pay depends
upon experience, but is generally between $60,000 and $75,000
depending on experience. This is good money when you consider that a
$700,000 house in San Diego is about $200,000 here.

If you are interested, send me your resume and the boss, Jad Talbert -
Senior Software Architect (and the manager of all CF programmers) will
be in touch. He will give you his standard phone technical test. If
you do well on the test, you are in.

Send me your resume if you have interest.

Best Regards,

Jim Goins
