We just updated this dependency in the following PR:

The dependency updated in https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/19880 will be
released in the {{4.2}}. Probably somewhen in autumn.
That means you need to wait until autumn to work on this ticket. See the
{{Affect Version/s}} field and the {{Fixed Version/s}} field above. The former
means on which release the dependency should be updated and the latter means
what release should ship the updated dependency.
I would recommend that you choose a different ticket if we want to contribute
immediately.
