Fredy: A couple of things: J2 is not Tomcat 5.5 ready yet, (5.0 is OK), look for the "Getting Started" section on the J2 website, (http://portals.apache.org/jetspeed-2/getting-started.html), and check out the wiki. I am running on RedHat Linux, Java 1.5, and Tomcat 5.0 in development and production.
