Dear all, I am using JabRef 2.11b4 along with the built-in OpenOffice plug-in on an Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit machine to automatically create and update bibliographies in LibreOffice Writer. For that purpose, I created a style file with the following aims: - use number citations rather then text citations, i.e. [1] for the first citation in the text, [2] for the second citation and so forth - sort bibliography according to the appearance of the single citations in the text
However, the first citation that appears in the text is currently represented as [2], the second citation as [3], the third citation as [4], the fourth citation as [6] and so forth. Entries [1] and [5], which have obviously been dropped for reasons unknown to me, appear somewhere later in the text. To put it short, the citation numbering is not entirely continuous, but appears random at some points. Is anybody familiar with this kind of behavior of the OpenOffice plug-in and knows how to make proper adjustments or is there some obvious mistake in the style file attached below I am not aware of?
