Hello:

I have been using Localcopy to fetch PDF files for article entries
within my jabref database, and find this functionality extremely
helpful. However, in some cases, I find that Localcopy prompts me to
enter a username/password after I select "DOI link". When I copy the
same DOI link into my web-browser, I find that while there are in fact
"username/password" form fields on the web page, they are grayed out and
do not need to be (cannot be) filled in manually by the user, and the
PDF links available on that same page are accessible simply by a click.
Localcopy, however, seems to think it needs the username/password (?)
Would anyone have insight on how to solve this problem? Is it related to
institutional access/proxy settings? The scenario I described happens at
work, where I do have institutional access to many journals.

Alternatively, I've found that if I select "URL" instead of "DOI", and
the URL refers to a PubMed abstract page (which contains links to the
journal pages that contain the actual PDFs), I get error messages. I'm
assuming this is because LocalCopy needs to be referred to a web page
with the actual PDF link embedded in that very same web page (?)

Thanks for any insight! Best, Matt
