I'm currently running JabRef-2.11dev - 2014-05-20 14.56.25, but it has a problem shared with earlier versions: customizing the order of required and optional fields for an entry type (article in this case) does not persist.
I can reorder the required and optional fields for all articles in current database, apply it, and the new order is implemented. I can visit another database and return to the customized one and see that the changes I made persist. But later these changes revert to their original order. It seems that when fields are customized and saved in one database, the customizations of other databases revert to the original order. A bug seems to have been filed, but is there a workaround for this problem?
