I am using JabRef 2.9.2 under Windows 7, with the "memory stick mode" option
selected, and I need help finding where the preferences are saved.

My preferences _are_ preserved when I stop/restart JabRef, so it is clear that
the preferences are being saved somewhere.

There is a file JabRef.xml in the Program Files (x86)\JabRef folder (together
with JabRef.exe), but the preferences do not appear to be stored in this file.
For example, when I change preferences via the running JabRef, this JabRef.xml
file does not change (neither its "Date Modified" stamp nor its contents
change). Also, if I manually change this JabRef.xml with a text editor, or
rename it, this has no effect on the preferences when I restart JabRef.

I would really like to be able to access the preferences manually to help
synchronize JabRef settings across machines, so it would be great if I could
find where the preferences are stored. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jeff
