I have a problem installing the most recent stable version of Jabref
(2.8.1) on my Linux partition (Ubuntu 10.04 lucid).

Installing via Ubuntu Software Centre only gets me Jabref version 2.5,
and I don't find a repository address to insert in my 'Software
Sources' for automatic updates (is there one?).

I then try to install in shell, following instructions at:
http://jabref.sourceforge.net/documentation.php

But when I start Jabref via Ubuntu's Applications->office->Jabref manu,
it still only launches 2.5

Any clues on how to correct this?
