Hi Folks,

as some of you may know, we are offering since a while a BibSonomy [1]
plugin for JabRef, which allows an easy up-/download of locally stored
references to the online account at BibSonomy, where it's easy to e.g.
share references with collaborators and friends.

We are happy to announce version 2.5.1 of this plugin:

http://bibsonomy.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-version-25-of-jabref-plugin.html

It contains mainly bugfixes and interface improvements; but for those of
you who haven't used the plugin before, here's a list of features:

* search/fetch entries from Bibsonomy (which includes also all DBLP [2]
entries) via fulltext search or tags
* display of BibSonomy tag clouds within JabRef
* configurable automatic up-/download of attached PDF documents
* Diff-like Synchronization feature for online and offline entries
* ... see [3] for more information

In summary, the plugin aims to combine the comfortable editing
facilities of a local BibTex client like JabRef with the advantages of a
collaborative sharing environmewnt like BibSonomy. As BibSonomy is
developped within an academic environment, all of our services are and
will remain free; in addition, we are always open to constructive
feedback and suggestions!

Best regards & have fun with the plugin,
   Dominik
