IMHO, I personally support Carsten's point. I believe that, there are
many important XercesJ source code audience that'd like to follow the
Apache XercesJ github mirror to get insights about XercesJ's source
code.

As a member of XercesJ team, I'm thinking to request Apache infra on
the Apache infra jira issue pointed by Carsten, to re enable the
Apache XercesJ svn to github mirror. I think that, having this mirror
as active, shall not effect XercesJ's development activities on its
current SVN repositories.
