If not, try to remove the 'quiet' keyword from the kernel command-line option (bootloader). We had disabled many (if not all, not sure anymore) of these TTY, do you have access to those on your desktop PC? IIRC, I've seen some issues with 'old' (a relative term) graphics card. I tried to change output/name/mode for various combination in the /etc/xdg/weston-user.ini file but it didn't worked? Could you please suggest what might be the issue?
