[~cdutz], thanks for the pointer. the fix in plc4x's pom is what I was guessing
would need to be done, though I wasn't sure if that was the proper fix since
the other projects didn't do it that way. I've created a PR for the latest
changes: https://github.com/apache/incubator-training/pull/39
