I left this open because my PR was just a dirty hack. Probably we shouldn't even hit this nightly path on this CI step because we should be hitting the not-nightly path. From the ticket body: > the --target value in the failed command is empty, indicating TARGET is empty at Make-expansion time — which would route to the regular branch — but the cargo +nightly invocation runs anyway.
