David, I just have deployed a new
[SNAPSHOT|https://repository.apache.org/service/local/repositories/snapshots/content/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-javadoc-plugin/2.11-SNAPSHOT/maven-javadoc-plugin-2.11-20140925.191134-19.jar]
which restores the previous behavior and really fixed MJAVADOC-398. Please
test and report.
If change is verified, I will push 2.10.1 immediately.
