Dennis Lundberg reopened MPMD-176:

The 5.1.0 version of PMD is compiled with Java 6. This means that Maven PMD
Plugin now requires Java 6. Can we contact the PMD team to investigate the
possibility of a Java 5 compiled version, or have PMD switched to Java 6? I
would very much prefer to have Maven PMD Plugin stay on Java 5 if possible.
