sure MNG-3053 looks a good idea.
agree on removing the mojo to create an index locally.
But regarding searching I like the idea about having a mojo goal to search on
local index.
btw a mojo to merge remote index locally could make sense too in order to
prevent remote access while searching.
the search mojo could have some parameters to define how to search remotely /
only localy.
