By patching the mvn script, it's possible to add an ADDITIONAL_MAVEN_OPTS, so
that you can apply custom parameters such as memory, jvm flags, classpath, evn
vars
the rationale is that nowadays is more and more common to use external tools
such JRebel or AgentSmith, but every project could need custom settings
