In the configuration for the Assembly Plugin, change {{<goal>assembly</goal>}}
to {{<goal>single</goal>}}.
While the {{single}} goal is the recommended goal for executions of the plugin
during the lifecycle and works as expected, I leave this issue open because the
{{assembly}} goal's documentation lists the {{attach}} parameter. That
parameter is either broken for the {{assembly}} goal or should be removed from
the documentation if unsupported.
