Tim Reilly commented on ARCHETYPE-201: -------------------------------------- I'm seeing this in alpha-4. I believe crawl adds an entry for every version of the archetype it finds. One suggestion would be for the catalog to contain the version entries as well . Archetype:generate would need to present another prompt after the archetype selection and version selection/prompt. > archetype:crawl adds my archetypes twice to the catalog > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: ARCHETYPE-201 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/ARCHETYPE-201 > Project: Maven Archetype > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Plugin > Affects Versions: 2.0-alpha-3 > Reporter: Grégory Joseph > > It might be because these are snapshots (so they exist twice in my local > repo, once as -SNAPSHOT.jar and once as -TIMESTAMP.jar), but still they are > both times referred to with <version>1.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version> in the > generated catalog, which is confusing. > However if this only occurs for snapshots, I'm not worried. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
