Child POMs Not Properly Inheriting Global Property Versions -----------------------------------------------------------
Key: MNG-3847 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-3847 Project: Maven 2 Issue Type: Bug Components: Dependencies Affects Versions: 2.0.9 Environment: Mac OS X Reporter: David Haines We have two large projects, let's call them Project A and B, each with a super pom and numerous sub-projects. In the super pom for each project, we define a property called baseVersion and reference this variable in all applicable artifact versions and dependent artifacts. Project A builds without issue. Project B, however, depends on artifacts from Project A. Project B fails to resolve the ${baseVersion} defined in its super pom when referenced as the version in Project A dependent artifacts (see output below). Can someone advise how we're meant to define global versions that may be referenced throughout child pom's?
