when expression is 'plugin.something', this is the code that evaluates it:
value = ReflectionValueExtractor.evaluate(
expression.substring( 1 ), pluginDescriptor );
so the extractor sees 'lugin.something', which obviously won't work.
also, it returns 'null'. i think it would be better if evaluation of unfound
expressions will just leave them as they are (so evaluating ${foo} will leave
it as '${foo}').
