Fixed in 3.6.0 by #3371 (SUREFIRE-823): `-DskipTests` now skips only Surefire unit tests, and Failsafe integration tests still run. Use `-DskipITs` to skip only the integration tests, or `-Dmaven.test.skip` to skip both. Closing as done.
