slachiewicz opened a new pull request, #1779:
URL: https://github.com/apache/maven-site/pull/1779

Fixes the text-only items from Martijn Dashorst's review of the site
([CONTENT-FIXES.md](https://github.com/dashorst/maven-site/blob/diataxis-demo/CONTENT-FIXES.md)
 and
[discrepancies.md](https://github.com/dashorst/maven-site/blob/diataxis-demo/jekyll/pages/discrepancies.md)
on his `diataxis-demo` branch): two published TODOs and "pay someone to
explain this to you", Surefire's default includes without `**/*Tests.java`, a
`mvn -v` sample with a `Java home:` line, "only one proxy may be active",
passwords that "must be set plain-text", "only SCP deployments and file
deployments are supported", the closed issues.sonatype.org tracker, and two
links that only work through redirects.

Each was checked first: the Surefire includes against its `test` goal
documentation; the `mvn -v` sample is the output of 3.10.0; two active proxies
on 3.9.16 and 4.0.0-rc-7 (both accepted, the first is used, `active` defaults
to `true` in the settings XSD); Sonatype's own FAQ for what replaced
issues.sonatype.org; the versions plugin's old URL is a meta-refresh.

Not in this PR: the custom-packaging guide the removed TODO pointed at is
tracked in #681 and #1557; the broken Maven 4 lifecycle links are #1655; the
home page placeholder and the old versions in the getting-started samples are
left for separate changes.

Verified: `mvn site` with Fluido 2.1.0 → 300 pages, no URL or content anchor
lost; the new links return 200.
