The file name mapping page said any property of Artifact and ArtifactHandler can be used as a token. It now lists the tokens that stay supported and marks the others (`packaging`, `type`, `scope`, `file` and the rest) as deprecated: they still resolve here, but the Maven 4 line of maven-mapping only reads the artifact's coordinates.
