wilx opened a new pull request, #1355: URL: https://github.com/apache/maven-javadoc-plugin/pull/1355
This updates the Maven plugin used by the MJAVADOC-257 integration test to use `maven-plugin-annotations` instead of the legacy Maven Plugin Tools Javadoc tags. The conversion preserves the mojo name, default lifecycle phase, and parameter metadata. The fixture now declares `maven-plugin-annotations` with `provided` scope and uses the existing filtered `@pluginPluginVersion@` value so that the dependency stays aligned with the Plugin Tools version exercised by the IT. This is part of removing reliance on the legacy QDox-backed Javadoc-tag extractor discussed in https://github.com/apache/maven-plugin-tools/issues/718. Note that commits might be squashed by a maintainer on merge. - [ ] Write unit tests that match behavioral changes, where the tests fail if the changes to the runtime are not applied. This may not always be possible but is a best-practice. This change updates an existing integration-test fixture and does not change runtime behavior. - [x] Run `mvn verify` to make sure basic checks pass. A more thorough check will be performed on your pull request automatically. - [x] You have run the integration tests successfully (`mvn -Prun-its verify`).
