Treat an unexpected `null` dependency set as an empty set before
constructing the classpath artifact list. This prevents the fall-through
`NullPointerException` while preserving the existing behavior for ordinary
projects without dependencies: they still produce an empty classpath output.
The normal Maven dependency-resolution path returns an empty set when there
are no dependencies. The null handling remains defensive for callers or
extensions that return `null` despite that effective contract.
Fixes #1648.
