Dependendy to artifact with classifier tests not distinguished from the regular
artifact
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MECLIPSE-367
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MECLIPSE-367
Project: Maven 2.x Eclipse Plugin
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Dependencies resolution and build path
Affects Versions: 2.5
Environment: Maven 2.0.8
Java 6
Eclipse 3.3
Reporter: Brynjar Glesnes
When a project has a dependency to both the "regular" jar and the classifier
tests jar for the same groupId/artifactId, the Eclipse project resulting from
running eclipse:eclipse only has one of the jars as a referenced library. This
worked just fine with version 2.4.
Example: (pom.xml for the referenced project)
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0
http://maven.apache.org/maven-v4_0_0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<groupId>mygroup</groupId>
<artifactId>lib</artifactId>
<packaging>jar</packaging>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<name>lib</name>
<url>http://maven.apache.org</url>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>junit</groupId>
<artifactId>junit</artifactId>
<version>3.8.1</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-jar-plugin</artifactId>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>test-jar</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
