**[Herve Boutemy](https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=hboutemy)** commented as discussed in the PR, this configuration will remove some noise in the output javadoc, which is an improvement and will for example bring us immediate improvement on site publication with svnpubsub (less noisy timestamps updates on each publication, when javadoc has not changed really) but having full javadoc reproducible has good chances to be harder than that FYI, maven-artifact-plugin ignores by default javadoc artifacts, and MARTIFACT-3 and MARTIFACT-4 have been created to permit people interested in testing more extensively javadoc reproducibility to enable check done by artifact:buildinfo -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
