This will be done with 3.0.0 release of the plugin which is in preparation. You seemed to be misunderstanding the intention of `~/.m2/repository`. The intention is simply a cache nothing more. And this gives you the impression that it behaves wrong which it doesn't. Deployment/Installation etc. to an OSGi environment should be done differently via [Maven Tycho](http://www.eclipse.org/tycho/) or [bndtools](http://bndtools.org/) but not via maven-install-plugin nor via maven-deploy-plugin either. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
