Stefan Seifert commented on MCHANGES-465:
-----------------------------------------

yes, but we want to use the plugin to generate a changes report in HTML only,
and do not plan to configure it to something else.

with plugin version 3.x, all our links and formatting in the changelogs on our
site are broken because of this change.

> Bring back parameter escapeHTML

> Project: Maven Changes Plugin
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 3.0.0-M2
> Reporter: Stefan Seifert
> Priority: Major
>
> with version 3.0.0 and MCHANGES-432 the parameter {{escapeHTML}} was removed
> from the plugin.
> i'm aware that this parameter was deprecated for >10 years, and that it does
> not work with other output formats e.g. PDF.
> however, we are using the maven-changes-plugin only for generating HTML
> changes reports, and we use it in > 50 individual projects/libraries to
> generate the project web sites, and we make use of embedded HTML tags e.g.
> for anchor tags to link for further information, marking important changes
> with bold and similar stuff.
> do you see a chance to add it back? i can come up with a PR if you accept it.
