Elliotte Rusty Harold commented on MCHANGES-380: ------------------------------------------------ Is there such a thing as a release with no changes? Wouldn't there at least be a new version and timestamp? Could we instead simply generate an announcement that says nothing or something like "No significant changes"? I'm trying to understand the use case and situation here. > REOPEN - Add option to skip announcement if there are no changes or > changes.xml file is missing > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MCHANGES-380 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MCHANGES-380 > Project: Maven Changes Plugin > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: changes.xml > Affects Versions: 2.12.1 > Reporter: Luca Tagliani > Priority: Critical > Attachments: MCHANGES-380.patch > > > It will be good to have some option to skip announcement generation if there > are no changes for artifact.
