Brett Porter updated MNG-2852:
------------------------------

Fix Version/s: (was: Reviewed Pending Version Assignment)
                   2.2.x
      Component/s: Plugins and Lifecycle

maven.test.skip is nothing really special - it's plugin configuration. To
support this, we'd need some way to alter the lifecycle to drop all the test
phases out.

> process-test-classes phase is run even when maven.test.skip is called

> I'm have some bytecode processing which occurs in the process-test-classes
> phase. when I skip the tests, it still tries to run my ant task:
> [INFO] [compiler:testCompile]
> [INFO] Not compiling test sources
> [INFO] [antrun:run {execution: default}]
> [echo] Running Jibx Ant task
> My task definition looks like this:
> <plugin>
> <artifactId>maven-antrun-plugin</artifactId>
> <executions>
> <execution>
> <phase>process-test-classes</phase>
> <goals>
> <goal>run</goal>
> </goals>
> <configuration>
> <tasks>
> <echo>Running Jibx Ant task</echo>
> <taskdef classname="org.jibx.binding.ant.CompileTask"
> classpathref="maven.test.classpath" name="jibx" />
> <jibx verbose="true"
> binding="${basedir}/src/jibx/binding.xml">

> </jibx>
> </tasks>
> </configuration>
> </execution>
> </executions>
> </plugin>
