I ran now your sample and understand its structure. Here is my verdict: The
system absolutely behave the way it should be. Your summany and description are
plain wrong. What you have in your setup: project b uses a dependecy where the
artifact id is interpolated witha property. The default value is provided
through a *model* property. When both c and b are installed, you use a *user*
property to override the *model* property and this is exactly what the system
is supposed to do. User properties take precende over model properties. There
are no Java system properties involved.
Please read MNG-7556 and rephrase your request.
