Wendy Smoak updated MRM-349:
----------------------------

    Priority: Blocker (was: Major)

This is a blocking issue-- Archiva is prompting for credentials when guest has
the global repository observer role.

There is no way to access the repositories, even with the admin account (by
default admin is a global repository manager.)

To reproduce:

Build and launch Archiva with the plexus runtime. View the managed repository
config and click one of the urls. Try the admin userid and password. It
should work, but doesn't.

Now give Guest the global repository observer role, and try a repository url
again. It should not prompt for credentials, but it does.

> After granting the Global Repository Observer role to the guest user, I am
> prompted for an id and password when accessing the url for a managed
> repository such as the preconfigured 'internal' repo.
> MRM-323 seems to be the same thing, but on Tomcat.
