For me personally, three days is nothing. 72h is the standard voting period of the ASF. I see no reason to have any vote by lazy consensus (which is effectively what this is) require a longer waiting period. You still require a committer to actually pick up the PR if you don't have the commit bit. And if you do have the commit bit, that means we trust you.
