Ok so testing take 2, with a nuked repo each time with the same maven versions as my previous comment : Project 1 mvn 3.8.1 ``` 4339 files 274MB ``` custom mvn ``` 4393 files 276MB ``` Project 2 mvn 3.8.1 ``` 5207 files 214MB ``` custom mvn ``` 5123 files 215MB ``` Just to be sure, I checked out this fork, `mvn install` it, then built the tip of master of maven using the 1.8.0-SNAPSHOT version in the parent pom to test this.
