Agreed, [~reinhapa]. By the way, I did not see any forked VM hanging in the 
call {{ManagementFactory.getRuntimeMXBean().getInputArguments()}}.

As the only difference between a working test and a frozen one seems to be the 
amount of stuff logged on {{stdOut}} and/or {{stdErr}}, I would like to ask 
[~tibordigana] to please explain how the two VMs talk to each other and point 
me to the relevant parts of the source code. Is there some communication going 
on using the forked VM's output channels {{stdOut}} and/or {{stdErr}}? Does the 
parent VM read from the respective streams and maybe expect some special 
messages in a specific order, which might not arrive as expected because there 
is regular JVM or Java agent log output in between those messages? In that 
case, maybe the parsing could be improved in such a way that irrelevant output 
is ignored and routed through transparently. Only actual VM-to-VM communication 
ought to be filtered out and parsed. Sorry for speculating here, but the 
Surefire code base is vast and I do not wish to read it completely without any 
guidance. Thanks Tibor for your help.
