Thanks for your feedback. Publishing the latest-and-greatest documentation is something we're trying out, realizing that it may cause some confusion until everyone gets used to the idea. Unfortunately, our release cycles have historically been pretty long, and some very good documentation was sitting in svn, completely invisible. It seemed that having docs on unreleased features was the lesser of the two evils. This plugin has the additional problem of having moved from codehaus to apache, without having a release here yet.
