Users of the {{maven-compiler-plugin}} are able to build in one compiler
version while targeting an older version. We need the same ability for this
plugin.
Justification: https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8212233
Workaround: Build the project using the same JDK version as the project is
targetting.
