Opened MNG-6059 as a follow-up bug as this IMHO fails to address some important
use cases.
I’m not saying that we need to have the mor eflexible but more complex
{{@inherit}} attribute I talk about above, but the fact that
{{child.inherit.append.path}} affects *all* its children makes it unable to
deal with the common use case of an inheritable {{<scm>}} configuration for
Github. :-(
